Two-Part Handbuilding Pottery Workshop: Create & Glaze Your Masterpiece!
Join us for a hands-on, creative journey where you’ll make your very own pottery! This is a two-part workshop where you’ll first get the chance to shape your piece, then return to glaze it to perfection! Bring your ideas!

This workshop will be most helpful if you have had your hands in this type of thing before. But not necessary. Just remember this is a learning process if you have never done it before. 

Where? 1790 Hwy 101, Florence Oregon Dragon's Breath Pottery Shop!
When? April 6th @1pm (The shop will be open for another hour after that but I want us to have some extra time you can stay and play up to 5pm!)

What's Included:

•    2 or 3lbs of clay to get started
•    Space to work and get inspired
•    Tools to help shape your piece
•    Slab roller available (if needed)
•    Templates of some past projects if you would like to do one you may have missed. 
•    1 bisque fire to get your piece ready for glazing we bisque at cone 06/04
•    1 glaze fire for that finished look we fire at cone 5/6
•    Glaze options (limited selection), including underglazing, clear coat zinc-free glaze, and some interactive pigments if you want to get extra creative!
•    Help and guidance if needed
•    A super fun atmosphere to get your creative juices flowing!

How It Works:
Part One: Making – Come in and make your project! Once it’s dry and bisque fired (1-2 weeks depending on the project), I’ll call you individually when it’s ready for glazing.

Part Two: Glazing - After your piece is bisque-fired, you can return at your leisure to glaze it! Feel free to bring your own glazes if you want something different from what we have at the shop (just be sure to bring them in their original container to ensure they’re suitable for cone 5/6 firing). Of course you are always welcome to purchase a special glaze from the store. 

⚠️ Important Note: We understand life gets busy, but please remember, if your project sits for weeks after we’ve called you and we don’t hear from you, we’ll need to ask you to pick it up or we’ll have to remove it due to limited storage. We want to be fair to all of our artists!
